Ingredients

Scale

White Chocolate Coating

  • 1.5 cups Rice Chex Cereal
  • 8 ounces White chocolate chips
  • Christmas sprinkles, for garnish

Cinnamon Sugar Mix

  • 1.5 cups Corn Chex Cereal
  • 1 cup Wheat Chex Cereal
  • 1 cup Almonds
  • 1 cup Pecans
  • 1 cup Mini pretzels
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup White sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Ground cinnamon

Final Mix

  • 1/2 cup Red & Green M&Ms

Instructions

  1. Prepare Rice Chex: Pour the rice Chex cereal into a medium bowl, setting it aside to be coated with white chocolate.
  2. Melt White Chocolate: In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips by microwaving in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Coat Rice Chex: Pour the melted white chocolate over the rice Chex cereal and toss gently until fully coated.
  4. Set the Coated Rice Chex: Spread the coated cereal onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and sprinkle generously with Christmas sprinkles. Allow it to set at room temperature.
  5. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the corn Chex cereal, wheat Chex cereal, almonds, pecans, and mini pretzels.
  6. Add Butter: Melt the butter and pour it over the cereal and nut mixture. Toss thoroughly to ensure all pieces are coated.
  7. Prepare Cinnamon Sugar: Combine the white sugar and ground cinnamon, then sprinkle this mixture evenly over the buttered cereal mix, tossing to coat every piece.
  8. Microwave the Mix: Microwave the mixture on high for 1 minute, stir well, then microwave for an additional minute to allow flavors to meld and the coating to set.
  9. Cool the Cinnamon Mix: Remove the bowl from the microwave and spread the contents evenly onto a lined baking sheet to cool completely.
  10. Combine and Add M&Ms: Once both the white chocolate-coated rice Chex and the cinnamon sugar-coated mix have cooled, combine them in a large bowl. Add the red and green Christmas M&Ms and mix gently to distribute.
  11. Store: Store the Christmas Chex Mix in an airtight container until ready to serve to maintain freshness and crunch.
