Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to get it ready for baking the casserole.
- Mix Ingredients: In a 13×9 inch baking dish, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, and drained green beans. Stir well to evenly distribute all ingredients.
- Bake Initial Casserole: Place the dish in the oven and bake uncovered for 25 minutes to heat through and allow flavors to meld.
- Add Topping and Finish Baking: After initial baking, sprinkle 2-3 cups of French fried onions evenly on top of the casserole. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the onions are golden and crispy.
Notes
- You can substitute cream of mushroom soup with cream of chicken soup if preferred.
- Fresh or frozen green beans can be used, but adjust the cooking time accordingly.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or a pinch of garlic powder to the mixture.
