Cranberry Brie Bites Recipe

  • Author: Naomi
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Description

These Cranberry Brie Bites are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer, perfect for holiday gatherings or any special occasion. Featuring creamy brie cheese wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough, topped with sweet cranberry sauce and crunchy pecans, these bites offer a perfect balance of flavors and textures in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 8-oz container of crescent roll dough
  • 1 8-oz wheel of soft ripened brie cheese, cut into 12 pieces
  • 1/3 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1224 pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a 12-count muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray to ensure easy removal of the bites later.
  2. Prepare Dough: Roll out the crescent roll dough and pinch the perforated edges together to form one solid sheet. Cut the dough into 12 equal squares.
  3. Assemble Bites: Press each dough square gently into the muffin cups, creating a small cup shape. Place one piece of brie cheese into the center of each dough-lined cup.
  4. Add Toppings and Bake: Spoon cranberry sauce evenly over each piece of brie. Bake the assembled bites in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dough turns light golden brown and is cooked through.
  5. Add Pecans and Cool: Remove the bites from the oven and press 1 to 2 pecan halves into the top of each. Let the bites cool for at least 10 minutes before serving to allow the cheese to set. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute cranberry sauce with any other fruit preserves like raspberry or apricot if preferred.
  • For a nuttier flavor, try using toasted pecans instead of raw.
  • Make sure to allow the bites to cool sufficiently so the cheese firms up and doesn’t ooze out when eating.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature for best flavor.
  • These bites can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
