Ingredients
Scale
Sliders
- 1 package Savory Butter Hawaiian Rolls (12 count)
- 12 slices Black Forest ham
- 6 slices Havarti cheese
Buttery Topping
- 4 tbsp salted butter
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 1/4 tsp onion powder (optional)
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds
Instructions
- Prepare rolls and baking dish: Slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating the individual rolls. Remove the top half and set it aside. Lightly grease a 9×12 inch baking pan with butter and place the bottom half of the rolls inside the pan.
- Add ham and cheese layers: Layer each individual roll with one slice of Black Forest ham and half a slice of Havarti cheese, evenly distributing them to cover all rolls.
- Prepare and add buttery topping: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter by heating it for about 30 seconds. Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and poppy seeds to create a flavorful glaze. Place the top half of the rolls on the layered bottom half, then brush the entire surface generously with the butter-poppy seed mixture.
- Bake the sliders: Loosely cover the baking pan with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 15 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 5 minutes or until the Havarti cheese melts and the tops of the buns turn golden brown.
Notes
- You can substitute Havarti cheese with your preferred melting cheese such as Swiss or mozzarella.
- For a spicier flavor, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the buttery topping.
- Serve these sliders warm for the best taste and texture.
- Leftovers can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently before serving.
