Ingredients
Scale
Crust
- 1 package (15.35 ounces) Double-Stuffed Oreo cookies
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
Pudding Layer
- 2 boxes (3.9 ounces each) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 ¼ cups cold milk
Cream Cheese Layer
- 1 block (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 container (8 ounces) Cool Whip, thawed
Topping
- 1 container (8 ounces) Cool Whip, thawed
- Reserved cookie crumbs (from 1/3 of crushed Oreos)
Instructions
- Crush Oreos: Place the entire package of Oreo cookies inside a large zip-lock bag, seal it, and crush with a rolling pin until small chunks and crumbs form. Keep some texture—avoid crushing into fine crumbs.
- Prepare Crust: Set aside 1/3 of the cookie crumbs for topping. Transfer the remaining crumbs into a 9×13 inch baking pan. Pour melted butter over the crumbs and mix thoroughly. Press mixture firmly into the pan evenly to create the crust.
- Make Pudding: In a bowl, whisk together the two boxes of instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until smooth. Cover and refrigerate to let it set.
- Prepare Cream Cheese Layer: In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar while continuing to blend. Gently fold in one container of thawed Cool Whip to create a creamy mixture. Spread this layer evenly over the Oreo crust.
- Assemble Layers: Spoon the chilled chocolate pudding evenly over the cream cheese mixture. Then spread the remaining Cool Whip container over the pudding layer.
- Add Topping and Chill: Sprinkle the reserved Oreo crumbs evenly over the top layer. Cover the entire dessert and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld and layers to set. Enjoy this delightful no-bake Oreo dessert chilled!
Notes
- Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps in the layer.
- For best results, chill the pudding well before assembling.
- This dessert can be prepared a day in advance and kept refrigerated.
- Use a sturdy bag and rolling pin to crush Oreos without making them too powdery.
- Try substituting Cool Whip with homemade whipped cream for a fresher taste.
